Triple J...J J Jackson Original MTV VJ 3/19/04

Well what a way to start a day. Today the one and only J J Jackson is no longer amongst the living. J.J. was on MTV when the channel actually played....videos. Yes that is what the M in MTV stands for "music". Sure the videos weren't the greatest, but they played them that's for sure. Now we can only hope that Alan Hunter, Mark Goodman, Martha Quinn, Adam Curry, Matt Pinfield, Kevin Seals, Rikki Rathman or Kennedy are next. Let's all hope its Kennedy. In case you were wondering yes I'm a geek I remeber a lot of MTV VJ's

Goodbye J.J. Jackson
Alan Hunter knew you well
You played those crappy videos
My generation surely would tell
You crawled out of radio
With a little afro on your head
An original MTV VJ
Heart attack and how you’re dead

And it seemed to me that you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing when to play Idol
Or The Buggles video again
And it seemed like I knew you
But I was just a kid
Never saw Nina Blackwood naked
I wonder if you did.

Robert Pastorelli--Murphy Brown's house painter 3/9

Wow two celebs in two days...okay minor celebs but none the less. Robert Pastorelli who played the house painter on Murphy Brown is no longer living. The minor sitcom actors haven't been hit with something this difficult since the death of Wilson from "Home Improvement". Drug paraphenalia was found near the body I'm guessing he was using the "H".

Good bye Robert Pastorelli
Candice Bergen knew you well
On the Murphy Brown sitcom
Wasn’t funny from what I could tell
You crawled out of New Jersey
No one knew your name
Had a failed sitcom
And there goes your fame

And it seemed to me you lived your life
Like a minor character to begin
Never knowing when to stop
When the heroin entered in
And I didn’t even know you
But I was just a kid
Your character painted houses
But Murphy’s you always did

Spalding Gray March 8, 2004

Okay if you are like me when you hear the name
Spalding Gray you can't help but think of the kid
from Caddyshack right? Well writer/actor was found
floating in the East River. I don't know much about
him so its all from the bio but as you can tell from
the song I know more about Caddyshack, so I got that
going for me.

Goodbye Spalding Gray
I really don’t know you well
Facts in this song your bio did tell well
You wrote some books were an actor too
The accident messed you up your mind it did screw
They found you in the river not in a van
Actor and writer
Some say you were a talented man

And it seemed to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Sharing your name with the Caddyshack kid
I’m sure you knew you did
Seen you in the river, I’m sure he did
That booger eating kid
Your body floating by long ago
Like that Baby Ruth did

I'll let history past judgement on her...

March 3,2004
Well folks I am not hosting the candlelight vigil for the death of Marge Schott. She was a angry old woman and at one time full owner of the Cincinnati Reds. She said a lot of stupid things in her life and there are a ton of stories of how messed up she was. The dogs pooping on the field before games I've heard on a couple of occassions, two St Bernards on artificial turf in Cinci you get the picture. Who would have though I could work Barry Larkin into a CITW-Remix? Noe Ed Kranepool isn't the only former ballplayer to be referenced in a song about someone else, welcome to the club Barry!

Goodbye Marge Schott
Controversy knew you well
Those goofy dogs and the cars you did sell
I heard stories dogs crapping on the field
While you chain smoked the Marlboro Man would tell
With that Reds hat in your hand
Became a crotchety old woman
Then you sold part of the team anyway

And it seemed to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Making stupid Nazi remarks
When no one else did
And I’m glad I didn’t know you
Since I was a kid
I got to leave Cincinnati
But Barry Larkin never did.
