Don Adams inventor of the shoe phone 9/26/05

Don Adams of Get Smart fame has passed into syndication now. Of course you all know Don from Get Smart where he played a dimwitted version of James Bond....but had a much cooler shoe phone. Admittedly I prefered Don Adams voice work on Tennessee Tuxedo to his Get Smart work. Remeber Tennesee Tuxedo will not fail. Apparently Don was some what of a ladies man, as he was married three times, or he didn't learn the first two times he wasn't married. Don becomes the second sitcom actor to die recently since Bob Denver passed a way about two weeks ago. Anyway here we go:

Goodby Don Adams
Though Agent 99 knew you well
You had the grace to act a fool
Using your shoe phone we could tell
You crawled out of New York City
With a dream in your hand
Always had a job
Once the Love Boat set sail again

And it seemed to me like you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing when to way
Your plans to Chumley again
And it seemed like I did know you
When I was just a kid
You candle burned out long before
Tennesee's plans ever did.
